The prototype is sent to the factory to be mass produced.
In the case of resin, the prototype is used directly to make a silicone mold with which the copies will be casted.
For vinyl production, a silicone mold is made as well, but it’s used to cast a copy in wax that is polished and used to make the metal molds.
