Amabie is a yokai that’s linked to pandemics. It is said that if a village or region was hit by a disease, people should draw this half bird, half mermaid yokai. By doing this, Amabie would make that disease disappear.
But with StickUp Monster’s Amabie, things aren’t that easy as she will not accept just any picture of her. If her infinite beauty is not reflected in that picture, she won’t move a finger to help anyone.
Wananeko and Dorobanii tried asking her for help to put an end to a well know virus that hit the whole world, but Dorobanii’s picture of her did not meet her expectations.
